When I rockfishing, and I believe rockfish here is very similar to Aust and USA, I ever try carry the minimal tackle. I use backpack to carry the things. Just what is important. Two rods, two reels, tackle box, some food and beverages, stool. Everything you need for a morning fishing . The backpack have a small insulated area, good for keep the beer cold.

Legendary setup mate. Good to see the beers are kept cold. Most important when fish aren't biting.
I use the Alvey bait bucket and wading bag. I use the bucket to carry bait and as a seat on the rocks. I place the reel on the bucket lid to avoid scratches on rocks when tying rig.

Very nice. Compact and portable. It can be a chore getting from the car to a good fishing spot. Over here, the use of 5 gallon (19 liter) PVC commercial buckets (used for bulk food products, paint and such) are popular. I use one fitted with a fishing cover like this one. t With the plastic lid it serves as a seat. A smaller Styrofoam bait bucket fits inside, as well as the Alvey tackle box, line and leader. Unfortunately, I still have to carry the rods and sand spikes. I am considering an upgrade to one of these. I need to check if they will hold the Alvey rods or, the sand spikes. It also has a pocket for a live bait aerator.

That's a great setup you've got there Mauri! One question - How do you carry back any fish you catch?
