As we track the storm Hermine through Florida it does not seem like it will be that bad here in Jacksonville Beach. It seems to us that after the tropical storm or hurricane has passed we have some good fishing on the surf. I guess all the turbulence stirs up the fish. Its funny because you catch fish you don't normally catch in the surf like drum, sheephead and robins. Do have any better luck Gene after the Florida storms pass through. I hope at the least it drops the water temperature down.

Wish I had more Atlantic reports for you. Don't make the 1-1/2 hour drive if reports still have strong rip currents. On the Gulf side, the heavy influx of fresh water from rain events turns off the bite, plus the turbid water clarity.
