New to alvey reels! Just ordered a champion 65 for surf fishing here in the US, and much less information about the reels here state-side so I'm hoping to garner some info from these boards!
1: line twists -I've gotten lo-stretch platypus and will get stiff mono as necessary (heard schneider makes good line) -ball bearing swivels -hold the sinker up to allow the line to untwist
Any other advice to prevent line twists?
Has anyone tried the gardener spindoctor?
2: anyone try the letago casting aide (https://www.fishingtacklesale.co.nz/product/letago-casting-aid)? Supposedly works with alvey but I am unsure how to install!
Thanks, Brian

Platypus low stretch is great. I use two swivels rated no more than twice the line test. At the end of the day, winding in your line through your fingers, unattached to the rig, helps. I am lazy, because of the large line capacity, I just cut off the offending lengths.
